  • YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY IF YOU ARE:

    • A classical pianist of any age 
    • A classical pianist of Bolivian background, living in Bolivia or abroad
    • A classical pianist not currently under professional management
    • A classical pianist who has not received a scholarship from us in the past
    • Willing and able to travel to New York City, if selected, to participate in our program
  • SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Completed Application 
    • Personal Statement in English or Spanish – 250-word limit
    • Introduction Video in English or Spanish – 1-2 minutes
    • 3 Video Samples of Solo Piano Performances – YouTube links only
  • HOW SELECTIONS WILL BE MADE:

    • Applicants will be evaluated by a Selection Committee of esteemed international pianists and selections will be based on: 

    The recital program is the central element of your application and will be a decisive factor in selecting the winner.

      • Video submissions showcasing your current technical, musical and artistic abilities 

    • The selection committee will choose three finalists prior to the final selection of the winner. Additionally, one alternate will be chosen in case the winner is unable to fulfill the requirements for any reason deemed by the organization.
  • KANTUTA CONCERTS NEW YORK DEBUT RECTIAL INCLUDES:

    • Solo Recital at Merkin Hall in New York City (February 28, 2025)
    •  Flights / transportation to and from New York City
    • Room & board
    • Post-concert reception
    • Exposure and press
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I’M NOT CHOSEN?

    All applicants will receive constructive and useful feedback from the Selection Committee on your Proposed Recital Program, Video Submissions and your total application package. We encourage you to take this feedback into account and try again next application cycle!

VIDEO SUBMISSIONS

Please provide three (3) contrasting videos of solo piano performances from any musical era.
YouTube link only - YouTube settings: videos must be labeled as either UNLISTED or PUBLIC.

• Videos should be from your proposed program, with at least one being a Bolivian work.
• Videos must be live performances showing the performer clearly, with no video editing.
• Videos that cannot be reviewed will not be considered.
